We are a husband & wife team. Based in the mountains of Montana & Washington State, we’ve been photographing and filming couples since the start of 2021.
Welcome to our blog where you’ll discover elopement planning resources, as well as beautiful galleries from real weddings!
When A first reached out to plan a proposal in Glacier, I was beyond ecstatic! Proposals can be very nerve-wracking for everyone involved (since it’s such a beautiful and once-in-a-lifetime moment), but man, they truly are magical. And this one was no different!
Pray Lake is a small freshwater lake located in the Two Medicine District on the east side of Glacier National Park. It’s connected to Upper Two Medicine Lake by a stream, and there’s a cute little campground at the end of the road. Plus, you can access a ton of hiking trails such as Dawson Pass or Pitamakan Pass, various other lakes like No Name Lake, waterfall trails like Aster Falls, and more! It’s a really great area of the park that can often be quieter than locations along the Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Two Medicine and Pray Lake is not accessible for weddings or elopements all of 2026 due to construction. According to the National Park Service, “the Two Medicine Road will be closed at Running Eagle Falls Trailhead, or the park boundary. Closures in the Two Medicine developed area will occur outside of concession operating dates (May 29-September 7).” So, it seems like there will still be access to hiking trails, the campstore, and boat tours. However, the Two Medicine Campground is closed for all of 2026, and the work likely won’t be completed until late 2027, potentially 2028.
Pray Lake, like most of Glacier Park, doesn’t have any service, so it’s super important to have a game plan ahead of time. I planned in advance with A, sending pictures of what Adam and I were wearing that day, as well as our vehicle and specific coordinates for where to meet. So, when A & O finished their hike, we were already waiting non-chalantly by the lake. Adam and I walked to a bench and sat down, showing A where we were thinking would be a good spot. He gently coerced O to head in that direction, and before we knew it, he was down on one knee! O was so surprised and excited! Getting to watch people’s reactions is one of the best things about proposals.

After the proposal and initial excitement, A had another surprise for O. He had coordinated with her best friend, prior to leaving for their Glacier Park trip, to pick out a couple of outfits for engagement photos afterwards. And he packed some makeup for O to touch-up after hiking! Little details like that can truly make your partner feel extra loved, especially if we’re taking some engagement photos following your proposal.
Not only did we explore around Pray Lake and dip our toes in the water, but we also walked over to the shore of Upper Two Medicine Lake. The clouds were rolling in and it was getting a bit chilly here, though, so we didn’t stay too long!

To end their evening, we went to an overlook nearby for some sunset photos in between the clouds. It was really fun getting to show A & O some more “hidden gem” locations for their Glacier Park experience! Plus, the wildflowers and views were so lovely.
