Elopements are usually pretty small and range anywhere from just you, your partner, and an officiant to maybe 10 of your closest friends and family! If including more friends and family is important to you, we’ll need to find a location that can accommodate more people. We do not photograph/film elopements or small weddings with over 40 guests, though. And when choosing your location, you have to be cognizant of the restrictions surrounding the number of people that you are allowed to have. We can help you figure this out!

YES! We love dogs and we love when couples want to include their furry friends! Just make sure you are aware of the restrictions for pets at your ceremony/reception location. We can help you navigate this!

In our opinion, there is no such thing as bad weather! We have the right gear and experience to photograph/film our couples in all sorts of weather. And trust us, just because it’s windy or raining does not mean that you will have a bad experience or that the photos/video will turn out bad. We promise that your day will be epic no matter what! And we’ll make sure that we are all prepared beforehand with the proper gear and equipment. The only case where we’d want to reschedule or find a different location is if the weather ends up being dangerous (i.e. tornado, hurricane, thunder/lightning storm, etc).

Truly don't worry about this! Very few people have experience in front of cameras. In order to help you feel more comfortable, our first goal is to really get to know you two. We want to know who you are individually and what your relationship is like! That way, we end up feeling more like friends instead of strangers with cameras. Plus, when we shoot, we give plenty of posing direction! So, don't stress!

We've heard this a lot! It's great when couples have a "laid back" or more spontaneous vibe. But that doesn't necessarily mean that you should cut your day short. Our 8 hour package is the most common because even for our more "laid back" couples, it gives them plenty of time to relax and enjoy their day, while also giving us a lot of time to do what we do best: document your elopement day to its fullest.

You will always get at least a 2 minute wedding film. A typical wedding film is between 4-6 minutes long, but it will depend on how much coverage you have booked and the type of wedding film you choose. Leave No Trace (LNT) is a set of principles that we, here at Venture To Elope, abide by to protect the environment. We ask that all of our couples abide by these ethics as well when we venture outdoors! Yes, of course! We’ll recommend vendors for you, as well as help you pick a location (based on season, accessibility, crowds, etc.) and figure out permits/additional fees for that specific location! While you are required to pay for any permits/additional fees, we are more than happy to help you! We can also recommend accommodations such as Airbnbs, lodges, and VRBOs.

Of course not! It’s YOUR day, so you get to choose what you want to do. If hiking is something you love, then go for it! But if you want an epic location that doesn’t require a lot of hiking, we will curate your location guide to include easily accessible options. Off-roading is a great alternative for this as well because you can explore incredible spots without leaving the comfort of your vehicle. We do recommend hiring someone to help with this, though, unless you have experience off-roading. Another great option is having your ceremony at an Airbnb or a small venue with views.
