We are a husband & wife team. Based in the mountains of Montana & Washington State, we’ve been photographing and filming couples since the start of 2021.
Welcome to our blog where you’ll discover elopement planning resources, as well as beautiful galleries from real weddings!
One of the best fire lookouts with views of Rainier is Mount Fremont. This hike is roughly 5.6 miles roundtrip and is an out and back hike. You gain a bit of elevation along the way, but it’s pretty manageable compared to a lot of the other hikes around Mount Rainier. It begins at the Sunrise Visitor Center parking lot, which is where we met Paige, Devon, and their friends at around 4:00 am. We all packed our bags and headed out on the trail in the dark. There was hardly anyone on the trail, which was really nice!
When we finally made it to the fire lookout, we found the perfect spot on the rocks for their ceremony. It was off the trail, which made it a bit more private for the couple! They had the sweetest first look before the sun came up, and then they had their ceremony at the start of first light. One of their best friends officiated their ceremony, and it was so incredibly sweet! These two had some really funny and special vows, which made their day even more perfect for them! Afterwards, we did some sunrise portraits. It was absolutely MAGICAL. Not to mention that Devon was legitimately the best hypeman for his new wife!! We danced, they Facetimed family, and then we shared some delicious snacks. Paige and Devon also brought some really yummy cupcakes to enjoy (they were so good that the chipmunks even wanted some LOL).
We ended their hiking elopement with some fire lookout portraits before we headed back down on the trail. Along the way, we saw a huge mountain goat, which was pretty awesome! It was the perfect Mount Rainier intimate elopement day!
