Hazy Sunrise Mount Rainier Hiking Elopement

This beautiful day started way before the sun came up! We met at the parking lot of the Paradise Visitor Center, and began a short hike to a Leave-No-Trace-approved ceremony spot off the trail. This year in the western part of Washington, we only had a few smokey days. But this was one of them! While we were hiking, we could see ash falling from the sky! It was crazy. We thought it wasn’t going to be safe to be out, but luckily, it started to clear once the sun came up. It was still a very hazy day, but stunning nonetheless.

These two had the sweetest first look, followed by a gorgeous ceremony! But we didn’t stop there. We actually did another hike after this that was quite a bit longer. It took us along a creek, through a meadow, under some Douglas fir trees, and we had stunning views of Rainier the whole time! It was quite the adventure. We ended the afternoon with a roadside picnic, complete with fruit, macroons, pastries, and cookies!
