We are a husband & wife team. Based in the mountains of Montana & Washington State, we’ve been photographing and filming couples since the start of 2021.
Welcome to our blog where you’ll discover elopement planning resources, as well as beautiful galleries from real weddings!
Earlier this summer, I (Hannah) got an inquiry from Jennifer asking if I would photograph her wedding. I was immediately ecstatic because I was available for their wedding date, and it would be my first wedding by myself! Jennifer told me, though, that her and her fiance (now husband), Mathias, had originally planned an Artist Point elopement. But unfortunately, Artist Point was closed due to COVID-19 restrictions, so they were planning on getting married at the church that they both grew up at. Their wedding was beautiful and they were able to have everyone they loved there, so it wasn’t bad or anything. But it was still a bummer that they had to ditch their original elopement idea.
Adam second shot their wedding with me, which was great! It actually got him hooked on cameras and elopements. Of course, it was so sweet that they were able to get married at a place that held lots of meaning to them, but we could both tell that they were both bummed about not being able to elope at Artist Point. So, when I got on a phone call with Jen (before her wedding), I told her that we were going to make their Artist Point dreams come true! We decided to do this adventure elopement session a month after their original wedding date. It was a fun way for them to have their larger wedding with all of their family and friends, and then still get the beautiful adventure elopement bridals at their original location. It was perfect! Mount Baker was out the whole night, and Mount Shuksan turned red for us as the sun went down.
Our favorite part, though, was that Jen and Mathias camped with us! After some off-roading, we found a free camp spot on the North Fork Nooksack River that was awesome! Jen and Mathias met us at the trail and then we helped them basically four wheel down the dirt road to our private spot. It was quite the adventure. There were tons of bugs, but the views were absolutely stunning! We even had our own private view of Mount Shuksan from our spot. Imagine waking up to THAT in the morning!
When we got back to the camp spot that night, we made a huge fire. We talked all night long, and it was so nice just being able to connect with Jen and Mathias outside of taking their photos. We really hope that we have the opportunity to do this more often because not only are they the coolest people ever, but we genuinely consider them our friends and we can’t wait to camp with them again!
It’s so affirming when our couples leave us raving reviews, too! Check out what Jen and Mathias said about us photographing their wedding and going on an adventure with them at Artist Point.
“Be ready, because when you book with Adam and Hannah you gain two amazing friends! Not only did they capture beautiful pictures of our small family wedding ceremony, but they insisted on making our mountain wedding picture dreams come true! I had a spot picked out in the North Cascades…and that was it ha. Hannah and Adam scouted out the best locations, were determined to make it fun and relaxing for us, and also found a spot to camp out for the night (I KNOW😁)!!
Communication was 110% from day one. Even before I officially booked them, they worked with us to make a plan that worked for both parties. Once booked, they made sure to ask what we envisioned & also gave some really awesome suggestions! They always kept us updated from beginning to finish.
The whole time we were up in the mountains it felt like we were adventuring with friends. There was music, lots of laughter, romance, and overall relaxed & fun vibes! People that don’t feel confident in front of a camera…I get it. Hannah and Adam are great at giving helpful and fun posing tips that make you feel confident and relaxed. Trust me, they know what their doing!
The best part is that they both genuinely want to know you! We had the opportunity to camp out in the mountains together & enjoyed talking, laughing, and getting to know each other around a warm fire. Like I said, two new friends☺️
We were able to get sneak peaks of our photos the night of the wedding & the mountain session and we were blown away! The rest of the photos came a lot quicker than expected (and still brought the WOW factor!) and were easily downloadable from our personal online gallery. There is so much more I could say, but I don’t want to give all the surprises away 😉
Hope this helps everyone reading this to get a glimpse of what Venture To Elope has to offer💕”
